The 4 flavours for our shoot.

Being asked to shoot both the video and stills for the Mackie’s summer campaign was an absolute pleasure. Not only was the shoot seamless, but working with such a delicious and iconic product made it all the more enjoyable.

We were tasked with capturing four flavours – two for video and all four as stills. That meant receiving about 120 litres of ice cream (yes, really!) in bulk 5L tubs. We decanted them into metal trays to refreeze with a carefully styled texture on top before photography began.

With two large freezers and a studio kept cool enough to store, scoop, and style – it was a logistical puzzle, but a fun one! Timing and temperature were everything, especially to get that perfect “scoop” look.

Big thanks to the team at The Lane Agency and Mackie’s for trusting me with such a cool project (pun intended).

A great scoop of ice cream.
